Educational consultants work with families during the transition from high school to postsecondary education, providing nonbiased expert opinion that can help match students with the right opportunity to best meet their needs. In educational settings, they can create plans to help improve academic development, develop curricula for educational initiatives, alongside providing professional development. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with my own ADHD diagnosis. I understand the struggle and shame of living in a world that wasn’t built for neurodiversity. I have seen through my work with others and myself that ADHD really means difference, not deficit or disorder. As you learn more about how your brain wiring works, you can begin to live within your strengths. Neurodivergence often comes with other things like anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and relationship struggles. My role as a therapist is to support your discovery and growth in a safe and compassionate space. I partner with you as you gain awareness and acceptance of your unique experience and build on innate capacity. Together we work towards achieving your goals, doing well at work, thriving in your relationships and finding peace within yourself. My goal for my clients is for you to create a healthy self-image, confidence and a clear vision for a future with meaning, balance and purpose. My therapy approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Let’s connect and see what is possible for you.

My approach to therapy is integrative and person-centered, with a focus on empowering clients to recognize their personal strengths and capacities to tackle life’s challenges with grace and humility.

I am passionate about creating neurodiverse and neuro-queer affirming spaces. My work as an educator - from classrooms to colleges to kitchen parties to private violin lessons - has led me to believe two things:

1) there is no such thing as a bad brain, only unmet needs,

and

2) you are deserving of exploring what those needs are.

Let’s explore together with unconditional acceptance and curiosity as we explore how to build scaffolding for your continued growth.

My work is informed by anti-oppression, intersectionality, social justice, harm reduction, neurodiversity and positive psychology. I take an integrative and strengths-based approach to wellbeing that understands the interconnectedness of our whole being. I am a Certified Reiki Master and Holistic Health Practitioner. As part of my counselling practice, I offer to teach meditation and breathing techniques that help calm the mind. My modalities of choice include Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Nature-Inspired Mindfulness, support for Highly-Sensitive People (HSP) and Narrative Therapy. My approach is collaborative and honours the strengths and wisdom that everyone brings to their own healing journey.

Our biggest healing breakthroughs can come from cultivating self-love and having kindness and compassion for ourselves. Self-love helps us boost our self confidence and sky-rocket into our happiest and most joyful life. I believe that all of our struggles connect to larger social and structural realities, and understanding this allows us to cultivate more kindness for ourselves and others. As a Registered Social Worker sessions are covered under insurance plans.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and late-diagnosed AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) person. I have experienced my own challenges of feeling ‘different’ and navigated mental health issues as I came to understand myself and my own needs. I understand how challenging and freeing it can be to process your identity, and that it is not always a linear path. My experience as a client in therapy has had a great influence on how I developed my own approach to working with clients. I approach therapy from a gentle and curious stance, as I aim to meet my clients where they are at in their healing journey.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to better understand themselves and to work collaboratively to address any challenges along the way. I believe that every client has unique needs that deserve to be honoured through a personalized and tailored approach to care. I use an integrative approach with my clients, meaning that I have experience in different therapeutic modalities that I will adapt to best fit my client’s needs. The modalities I use include Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Somatic, and Strength, and Compassion-based. My work is approached from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, neurodiverse, and LGBTQIA+ lens.
