I am an Expressive Arts Therapist, who has 15 years experience working with children, youth, and families. I am a proud member of OEATA (Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association). I am invested in trauma-informed approaches to expressive arts therapy/counselling, which means that I see all clients as experts of their own lived experiences, and believe in giving options of ways to engage, always following the direction (and comfortability) of the expert/client.
In our sessions together, we aim to create space for what topics or issues are at the forefront, while igniting the imagination by getting into artful expression and play, to then harvest resources that may be applicable to your reality. We will work on emotional regulation techniques, building connections and safety within the therapeutic relationship, trying out art modalities (i.e. writing, doodling, sound play, movement/dance, breath-work, singing, forming rhythms, etc), and identifying your resources. Expressive Arts Therapy believes in “intermodal play”, which means we believe in going in-and-out of different art forms to support us in expressing our emotions/stories. In addition, we use a “low-skill, high-sensitivity” approach, which means that you do not need any “art experience” or “talent” to be able to engage with any prompts or activities during the sessions. Leaning into expressive arts practices is about sensitizing to the art materials, getting into the body, and exploring diverse ways to express our emotions.
In a parent-child session, or intimate couples/Polycule sessions, we aim to be able to create a safe “enough” space to get into play with one another, while exploring themes through the arts. I believe there is a type of MAGIC that happens when we genuinely reach a place of artful play and expression with one another. This is often where inner resources are found and discovered.
My work is informed by Anti-Oppression, Trauma-Informed, Harm-Reduction, Neurodiversity, LGBTQ2SIA+, Mindfulness, Gender and Relationship diversity, and Sex Positivity.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with my own ADHD diagnosis. I understand the struggle and shame of living in a world that wasn’t built for neurodiversity. I have seen through my work with others and myself that ADHD really means difference, not deficit or disorder. As you learn more about how your brain wiring works, you can begin to live within your strengths. Neurodivergence often comes with other things like anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and relationship struggles. My role as a therapist is to support your discovery and growth in a safe and compassionate space. I partner with you as you gain awareness and acceptance of your unique experience and build on innate capacity. Together we work towards achieving your goals, doing well at work, thriving in your relationships and finding peace within yourself. My goal for my clients is for you to create a healthy self-image, confidence and a clear vision for a future with meaning, balance and purpose. My therapy approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Let’s connect and see what is possible for you.

Seeking counselling is a courageous gift to give yourself when you are dealing with challenges in life and would benefit from some extra support. I have been working in education, advocacy, case management and youth mental health for the past 20 years. I am a Registered Social Worker and I first began practicing as a Counsellor in 2009. My work is informed by anti-oppression, intersectionality, social justice, harm reduction, neurodiversity and positive psychology. I take an integrative and strengths-based approach to wellbeing that understands the interconnectedness of our whole being. I am a Certified Reiki Master and Holistic Health Practitioner. As part of my counselling practice, I offer to teach meditation and breathing techniques that help calm the mind. My modalities of choice include Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Nature-Inspired Mindfulness, support for Highly-Sensitive People (HSP) and Narrative Therapy. My approach is collaborative and honours the strengths and wisdom that everyone brings to their own healing journey.
Our biggest healing breakthroughs can come from cultivating self-love and having kindness and compassion for ourselves. Self-love helps us boost our self confidence and sky-rocket into our happiest and most joyful life. I believe that all of our struggles connect to larger social and structural realities, and understanding this allows us to cultivate more kindness for ourselves and others. As a Registered Social Worker sessions are covered under insurance plans.
